IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING

32 x 48in

Original Oil painting - $5000

On May 25, 1965 Muhammad Ali fought Sonny Liston for a 2nd time. After winning the first bout as an 8-1 underdog, Ali knocked out Liston in the first round - one of the quickest heavyweight title knockouts in history. This iconic image depicts the moment immediately following the knockout. Ali was just 22 years old and made him 21-0 with 17 knockouts.

Impossible is Nothing, an original oil painting done on lightweight, 1/8” aluminum composite panel, is painted with only two colors - Ivory Black and Titanium White. Titanium White is one of the brightest whites, making the whites jump off the panel. I thought the image would be more classic and timeless in black and white - fitting for Ali.
